The Seaesta Surf Zine - June 22nd
A Seaesta free gift with purchase, a Padres giveaway, a family recipe, an outfit idea & more
Happy summer! I LIVE for summer and I’m hoping I can force myself to take some time to soak it all in over the next couple of months — especially because I feel like my kids grow at hyper-speed over the summer somehow.
I have some fun Q&As coming up with mamas I love and am lucky to work with but nothing ready for this week’s substack! Since there’s nothing big and new happening this week, here’s a rundown of a few small but very fun things that are happening:
For the rest of this month, spend $150 and get a free bucket hat or five panel hat! All you have to do is add $150 to your cart and when you view your cart, you’ll get a pop-up with your free hat options.
Win VIP Padres Tickets, $100 MLB gift card, a Sun Bum prize pack & Seaesta Surf prize pack via Padres Blogger!
We restocked a lot of our best-selling boardshorts, including: Wavy Flowers in Navy, Wavy Checks in Cocoa, Aloha Sunset in Neon (already selling out in some sizes!) & Wavy Checks in Navy. I anticipate selling out in a lot of these styles in a bunch of sizes so snag your favorites before they sell out for the season or forever. Shop all boardshorts & shop all swim by size.
If you’re traveling this summer, I love our kid-sized tote bags for mini carry-ons or for kids who want to bring their own bag to the pool or beach! Shop our beach totes here.
What I’m Cooking
The Greek salad from Wishbone Kitchen’s new cookbook was the first recipe I made from the book at its SO good. She has a video up with some of the details on how to make it if you don’t have the book yet. Its honestly worth the purchase though!
This Chopped Salad With Chickpeas, Feta and Avocado (gift link) is going to be my lunch for the week.
This morning we made the air fryer biscuit donuts, which are always a hit with my kids and easy for them to help with!
Yesterday was my dad & grandma’s birthday. My grandma passed away 4 years ago, just shy of 102! To honor her, I made her family-famous rum cake. I wanted to share this because years ago I gave my family the best gift I’ve ever gotten and will probably never top… I compiled all of our family’s iconic recipes by family member, in their own handwriting. At the time, my grandma and her sister were getting older and I knew our time with them was limited and that two of our iconic family recipes were housed in their brains and needed to be jotted down for posterity. For the family members who didn’t have a family-famous recipe, it was still a chance to showcase their personality or humor (my uncle’s microwave hotdogs are iconic in their own right). Anyway, I highly recommend doing something like this if food is important to your family! Yesterday I was able to cook my grandma’s recipe from her own handwriting and even though it made me sad, I felt connected to her. 10/10 recommend both this gift and recipe!

What I’m Buying
This coffee table / cookbook! The Hamptons: Food, Family, and History by Ricky Lauren. Speaking of Ralph Lauren, I’m dying for this sweatshirt but this button up is probably the better summer buy.
This week I had a tradeshow in Newport Beach to show our Spring/Summer 2026 collection. While there, I ran into my cute and stylish friend, Cheryl of Bamabones. She was wearing the Clare V. Pot de Miel bag with this chain strap and it was the cutest combo!
Speaking of Clare V., I wore this studded vest (40% off right now!) with these vintage-style army green pants & these studded sandals (they ran small FYI) to the first day of the show. It was a cute outfit if you need something casual but professional! I work from home or in the tiny office I share with one other person and we wear activewear daily so I always need recommendations for events where activewear is not the vibe.
love is your grandmama's cake 😭
