The Seaesta Zine - April 13th
BTS of Seaesta x Heather Taylor Home - launches Tuesday! Plus fun spring + summer recipe links, the cutest vintage home goods sale & more.
I’m so excited to announce that our Heather Taylor Home collaboration launches on Tuesday, April 15th! I wanted to share a little bit of how we brought the collection to life + what inspiration we used to create these swimwear patterns.
I’ve been a longtime fan of Heather Taylor Home and working with her was a dream. There’s something so special about working with another small, woman-run brand and getting to share the creative process with someone who just *gets it*.
From the beginning, we wanted to create something that could be layered / mix + matched like her gorgeous tablescapes. As Heather and I chatted, we had a lightbulb moment when she mentioned she grew up in Malibu. Our brand is rooted in San Diego, Heather is from Malibu, we both love a checker print… and our Surf Club collab graphic was born.
I’m obsessed with how this collection came out and can’t wait to see how you all mix and match these prints!
What I’m Cooking
I am a die hard summer girl, through and through. I am stock-piling recipes for summer and can’t wait to make this hot honey peach margarita for a summer bbq! I also can’t wait for heirloom tomatoes and need this Italian tomato toast in my life as soon as tomato season hits!
My mom is hosting Easter brunch (I’ll try to remember to take some photos because she is an Ina Garten-level hostess) and this lemon orzo pasta salad will be my contribution.
I found this fun little crispy rice recipe on IG Reels and thought it would be the perfect thing to make with my daughter (without the fish because she’s still not into sushi) — sure enough, she wanted to make a crispy rice avocado toast for
breakfast this morning and loved it! We couldn’t get the rice cakes quite as crispy as the ones on this video so I’m sure there was some editing magic happening but we found that they tasted great (try cooking for 5 min but keep an eye on them) even though they weren’t as golden brown as the video.
Rainbow Rave Cookies with pastel sprinkles and pastel Easter m&ms would be so fun for Easter. Going to see if I can squeeze these into the agenda next weekend!
What I’m Shopping For
I’m super basic when it comes to skincare so I was stoked to find this all-in-one cream with retinol + this moisturizer. I need no more than 3 steps because I’m a millennial who was raised on Clinique 3 step - IYKYK!! I just got it on Friday so I’ll report back but I am already really liking it.
Speaking of basic skincare, for my makeup I am a die hard Ilia + Kosas fan - all of which is on sale during the Sephora sale right now if you want to try any of them. I use: Ilia Tinted SPF, Ilia concealer, Ilia mascara, Ilia eyebrow gel, Kosas bronzer & this Kosas lip gloss. Super basic but clean and easy and takes like 5 minutes.
My friend Krissy introduced me to the perfect denim shorts last year and I’ve already worn them a few times over spring break. I pair them with a Skims bodysuit (not a big Kim K fan but honestly her bodysuits are the best) + a linen button down. Find me wearing this outfit all spring / summer.
I love this vintage shop (run by the sweetest model I used to work with) and she’s having a sale right now! 25% off ends today so snag some fun goodies for spring + summer parties. A few of my favorites: these salad plates would be fun for 4th of July or Christmas, these blue + white platters would be cute for summer BBQs (made in Italy), this serving platter for Easter or other spring entertaining & these gingham mugs! So many fun finds in her shop.

And thanks for the shoutout! I wore those shorts this week, too! I’m sooo excited about this collab…
I think you need to start sending me the recipes you try and like each week. You’ve never let me down and I know you have more than the couple you put in your newsletters each week 😘
I’m going to make a batch of that orzo salad when we get back into town midweek
